遇到的问题

文档中，get device用的是下面的代码：

device = torch.accelerator.current_accelerator().type if torch.accelerator.is_available() else "cpu"
print(f"Using {device} device")

但是我运行后显示。

AttributeError: 'function' object has no attribute 'type'

也就是说现如今没有type这个attribute。 查阅torch.accelerator.current_accelerator文档后得知：

Return the device of the accelerator available at compilation time. If no accelerator were available at compilation time, returns None. 也就是说现在这个可以直接返回可用accelerator。 修改代码：

device = torch.accelerator.current_accelerator if torch.accelerator.is_available() else "cpu"
print(f"Using device: {device}")

运行得到：

(repytorch) alpaca@Mac repytorch % python tutorials/official_basics/04_build-model/build-model.py
Using device: <function current_accelerator at 0x106309940>

疑似一个内存地址，但至少说明它仍能识别到accelerator，但是为什么不是mps？

可以这样记录：

1. 为什么会输出 <function current_accelerator at ...>？

因为 current_accelerator 是函数，必须加 () 才会执行：

torch.accelerator.current_accelerator   # 函数本身
torch.accelerator.current_accelerator() # 返回设备，如 mps

所以正确写法是：

device = torch.accelerator.current_accelerator()

2. 为什么不加 .type 也可以？

current_accelerator() 返回 torch.device 对象，而 .type 返回设备名称字符串：

device = torch.accelerator.current_accelerator()
# torch.device("mps")

device_type = device.type
# "mps"

PyTorch 的 .to() 等接口同时接受这两种形式：

model.to(torch.device("mps"))
model.to("mps")

因此加不加 .type 都能使用。推荐保留完整的 torch.device 对象：

device = torch.accelerator.current_accelerator(check_available=True)

if device is None:
    device = torch.device("cpu")
